Calvados is an amber-colored apple brandy from Normandy, France. The name of the drink is derived from its protected designation of origin, the "Département Calvados". For the production of calvados, the fresh apple cider is fermented into cider in a few weeks, there are a total of 48 different apple varieties.
Père Magloire Calvados V.S. is a classic apple brandy from Normandy, known for its freshness and clear fruit character. Produced from carefully selected Norman apples and aged for a minimum of two years in oak casks, this Calvados offers a lively and approachable style.
On the nose, fresh apple aromas are complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and light oak. The palate is well balanced with juicy apple flavours, gentle sweetness and a touch of spice. The finish is smooth, mild and harmonious.
