Kinobi Gin is produced by the Kyoto Distillery in Japan. Based in the city of the same name, the distillery operates under the motto “Inspired by Tradition.” This gin is made using traditional sake as a base and refined with Japanese botanicals. The base, citrus, tea, herbs, spices, and flowers are distilled individually according to their specific characteristics and blended together in perfect balance.
KI NO BI SEI Kyoto Dry Gin 54.5% 0.7 Litre
KI NO BI SEI Kyoto Dry Gin is a stronger expression of the original KI NO BI gin from Kyoto. It is made according to the same intricate production method, with the final blend recalibrated for the higher strength so each botanical can show its character clearly.
The gin offers a fresh aroma of yuzu and a fine thread of Sanshō pepper, evoking the clean atmosphere of a bamboo forest. On the palate, KI NO BI SEI is bold, clean and full bodied while remaining balanced and precise.
The botanicals are arranged into six aromatic groups. Juniper berry, orris root and Akamatsu form the base. Yuzu and lemon add citrus freshness. Sanshō pepper, kinome, ginger, Gyokuro green tea, bamboo leaves and red shiso leaves give the gin its Japanese character.
At 54.5% vol., KI NO BI SEI is especially well suited to aromatic gin and tonics and cocktails where a more expressive gin is desired. The higher strength enhances the flavours and creates an intense tasting experience.
