Mackmyra is Sweden’s pioneering whisky distillery, founded in 1999. Known for its innovative cask maturations and use of local ingredients, the distillery reflects the pure Scandinavian nature in every expression.
The Mackmyra Moment Skog (“Forest”) is a cask strength single malt (52.4% vol.), matured in Swedish oak and Oloroso sherry casks. This maturation imparts remarkable intensity and complexity.
On the nose, aromas of dark berries, vanilla, oak, and gentle herbal spice emerge. The palate is powerful and rich, offering dried fruits, chocolate, spices, and a subtle forest-like freshness. The finish is long, elegant, and spicy – a whisky that truly embodies the spirit of Swedish nature.
