On the edge of the Austrian shore of Lake Constance, in an area with a strong orchard, apples, pears, plums, cherries, apricots, quinces and other fruit and fruit varieties with a distinct varietal character ripen under special climatic conditions. Since 1886, they have been using these treasures of nature to produce distillates of the highest fruit enjoyment. What began as a farm with an inn developed over the years into a cooperage and cidery and finally culminated in today's Verschluss-Fein distillery.
The deep red, intensely flavored fruits of the raspberry bush brighten our lives several times a year. The berries typically ripen starting in June and again from August through October. Wild varieties, however, ripen mainly toward the end of summer and into the fall. Picked by hand and delivered to us fresh, it is especially important to process the ripe raspberries immediately.
Some of them go straight into the juicer, while the rest find their way into our copper stills a few weeks later. Both components—juice and distillate—are then combined to create our Wild Raspberry Liqueur, which is sure to impress with its intense fruity notes and subtle sweetness.
