The original sea buckthorn Andalö liqueur is made in Germany by the company "Waldemar Behn GmbH". But the recipe is from Sweden, so Andalö is a Swedish-inspired sea buckthorn liqueur.
Sea buckthorn is a small, orange fruit of the sea buckthorn bush known for its slightly sour, fruity and tart taste. The sea buckthorn is also very well known and popular on Heligoland. There is a large area on the dune where sea buckthorn grows.
The sea buckthorn liqueur is a very fruity liqueur with an intense taste, which also has a slight spicy note.
