The model for the Gilbert de Montsalvat brand is the story" The Pope of Geneva "by Thomas Brunnschweiler. On a dull Sunday, Raymondo was reading Bernasconi told the story and was deeply saddened at first. The hero of the story could neither smell nor taste anything. But maybe that was exactly the message: Trust your own judgment, don't listen to cigar popes! Inspired by the story, Mr Bernansconi decided to copy his brand to name the hero.

Since its launch, the "Revolution Style Limited Edition" has been awarded top marks in blind tastings. The logical consequence was therefore to bring out a series based on this excellent blend, but which is not limited.
