Dalva belongs to the historic port wine house C. da Silva from Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal. Since 1862, the brand has been associated with port wines from the Douro Valley, combining classic port production with careful selection of traditional grape varieties.
Dalva Rosé Port is a fresh, fruity port wine from Portugal with 19% vol. This bottling shows the modern rosé side of port wine and is well suited as an aperitif, with desserts or as a base for summery port cocktails.
It is made from traditional red grape varieties from the Douro region, including Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca. The fermentation is stopped using the classic port wine method by adding wine spirit, preserving natural residual sweetness.
On the nose, it shows strawberry, raspberry and watermelon. On the palate, Dalva Rosé Port is smooth, fresh and fruit forward with pleasant sweetness, fine acidity and a balanced finish.
