Grahams is renowned for producing the finest port wines and is based in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal (near Porto). Graham's was one of the first port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal's Douro Valley in 1890 and is now at the cutting edge of innovation in winemaking technology.

Port wine is still made this way by intentionally stopping the fermentation of the grape must and adding a clear grape spirit called aguardente, commonly referred to as "brandy." This preserves a large amount of the grapes' natural sugars, giving Port its characteristic sweetness and richness.

The grapes used to make Port must be grown in the mountainous Upper Douro region of northern Portugal. This protected region is the only place in the world where authentic Port can be made.

In the old days, winemakers marked each port barrel with one to six grape symbols to rate the wine. Here, the symbol of six grapes represented wines that wowed with complexity, structure and balance. Graham's Six Grapes remains the brand's Signature Reserve Port to this day and is aged for 2 years in seasoned oak.

To the nose, cherry and plum aromas rise. The palate is equally powerful with notes of cherries, plums, dark chocolate and roasted cocoa beans.
