Quinta do Crasto 10 Year Old Tawny Port is a mature port wine from Portugal. This bottling comes from the Douro Valley and shows the classic character of a 10 year old Tawny Port with fine maturity, fruity freshness and smooth cask notes.
The port matures for an average of 10 years in Portuguese oak barrels. During this ageing period, the youthful fruit slowly develops into an amber coloured, smoother and more aromatically layered style.
On the nose, it shows honey, figs, dried fruits, fine spices and subtle nutty notes. On the palate, Quinta do Crasto 10 Year Old Tawny Port is fresh, balanced and smooth with pleasant sweetness, mature fruit and fine spice.
The finish is delicate, long and persistent. This Tawny Port is well suited slightly chilled as an aperitif, with nut based desserts, pastries, caramel, cheese or as a calm after dinner drink.
