Quinta do Crasto 20 Year Old Tawny Port is a mature port wine from Portugal. This bottling comes from the Douro and shows the classic character of a long wood aged tawny port with ripe fruit, fine sweetness and nutty depth.
The port matures for an average of 20 years in Portuguese oak vats. The blend is made from selected port wines from old vines. Older wines bring depth and maturity, while younger wines add fresh fruit and lively acidity.
In the glass, the tawny shows an amber colour. On the nose, orange peel, honey, nuts and a light iodine note come together. On the palate, Quinta do Crasto 20 Year Old is full bodied, smooth and fresh with dried fruits, nuts, fine spice and well balanced sweetness.
The finish is long, aromatic and persistent. Quinta do Crasto 20 Year Old Tawny Port is well suited slightly chilled as a digestif, with nut based desserts, caramel, apple pie, tarte tatin, hard cheese or simply neat after a meal.
