Taylor's port wines are still produced today, after more than 300 years, from the independent family business owned by the descendants of the original founder in Portugal.
The classic Vargellas note is accompanied by a fine blend of aromas reminiscent of undergrowth, fresh plums and quinces, citrus fruits and delicate spices such as nutmeg, aniseed and cocoa. Typical Vargellas can also be tasted on the palate, full-bodied, complex and always with a firm structure of dense, sinewy tannins, the finish is long and fruity, with an aromatic burst of pure, fresh berries.
