Aberlour is a whiskey distillery in Charlestown of Aberlour, Speyside. The current owner is Chivas Brothers Ltd. for Pernod Ricard, France.
This Aberlour Reserve matures for at least 10 years in bourbon and sherry casks and is then finished in French oak casks. This gives it a soft, spicy character and a long, warm finish.
On the nose, there are fruity notes of sweet red apple and vanilla. The palate is soft with a hint of spice and flavors of apricot, nutmeg, clove and toasted almonds. The finish is lingering.
