Bruichladdich is a whisky distillery located in Bruichladdich on the island of Islay, Scotland.

With the Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2013 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, the Scottish Bruichladdich Distillery presents another whisky in its limited Islay Barley collection of the Barley Series. The distillation was carried out in 2013. After distillation, it was aged in various casks for eight years until its bottling in 2021. The whiskey was allowed to mature in former bourbon and French wine casks.

On the nose, floral and fruity notes of ripe pears, kiwi, melon and coconut rise. Aromas of sea air, as well as sweet tones of vanilla and honey join. Likewise, one perceives a touch of spicy oak. The palate is strong, with notes of fresh porridge, rice pudding, brown sugar and caramel and fruity notes of orange, melon and ripe pear. Cereal and spice notes are also very present here. The finish is slightly salty and long. Notes of oak and fruity, sweet aromas one perceives as well.
