Bruichladdich is a whisky distillery in Bruichladdich on the Isle of Islay, Scotland.
Octomore is the world’s most heavily peated whisky series and continues to push the boundaries of single malt whisky. These experimental, limited releases are distilled with a focus on quality over quantity, continually redefining the limits of whisky making.
A captivating opening of sea freshness and orchard fruits, wrapped in Octomore’s delicate peat smoke. Fine floral notes of dried heather and chamomile unfold, followed by subtle vanilla and toasted almonds. Cedar, smoked paprika and iodine add complex, savoury tones. On the palate, there is immediate yet gentle peat smoke, followed by salted caramel, honeydew melon and apricot. Sweet malt sugar mingles with cinnamon and star anise. Sea salt, toffee, chocolate and coconut follow, carried by a soft wave of earthy minerality and lingering smoke. The finish is long and persistent, with the signature peat smoke centre stage. Black pepper and toffee intertwine with sea salt, creating a complex and satisfying finale.
