Buffalo Trace is a whiskey distillery founded in Frankfort, Kentucky in 1857. It is part of the New Orleans Sazerac Company. None of the other American distilleries produce as wide a range of whiskeys as Buffalo Trace.
Buffalo Trace 90 Proof is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Bottled at 45% vol., it offers a classic bourbon character with sweetness, spice and pleasantly smooth depth.
The bourbon matures for several years in new charred oak barrels. This gives it its deep amber colour and a balanced aromatic profile with vanilla, mint, molasses, brown sugar, spice and oak.
On the palate, Buffalo Trace is pleasantly sweet and spicy. Notes of toffee, dark fruit, oak, brown sugar and anise shape the flavour. The finish is long, smooth and shows good depth.
Buffalo Trace 90 Proof is well suited for sipping neat, over ice or as a quality base for classic bourbon cocktails such as Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour or Manhattan.
