Connemara is the only peated single malt Irish whiskey. The typically sweet notes of Irish whiskey, combined with the rich aroma of a peated malt, create a truly extraordinary product. The distillation in two stills and the long maturation process ensure the velvety- soft character of this whiskey.
Slightly fruity notes rise into the nose, with a pronounced smoky and fruity aroma. In terms of taste, it is silky smooth and has a slight taste of honey candy, malt and fruit. In the finish it has a rich peat taste.

Das ist ein echt eigenwilliger
Das ist ein echt eigenwilliger Ire ! ICH mag ihn ganz besonders schon seit gut 20 Jahren, weil sein klar erkennbarer, besonderer Geschmack = deutlich torfig, sich wirklich spürbar von fast allen anderen "Destillaten" abhebt. ER vermittelt praktisch eine 'stand alone' Idee vom ehemals rauen, kargen, harten Leben der irischen Landbevölkerung, das zugleich aber auch getragen wurde von ungewöhnlich klarer Luft, klarem Wasser und einem unglaublichen Grün der Landschaft, das man so tatsächlich glaubt, nur in Irland finden zu können. Kurz: Die Fantasie kann mit diesem Whiskey tatsächlich irgendwie 'durchgehen' !

für den bedächtigen Genießer
Einer der wirklich eigenständigen Whiskey's, der ein echt irischen Eindruck hinterläßt. Auch, und gerade deshalb, weil er einen / diesen leicht torfigen Geschmack vermittelt. Ist bei mir seit Jahr(ZEHNT)en fester Bestandteil meiner Hausbar - nie zum platten weg trinken, sondern immer wieder gerne zum abendlich stillen Genießen. Thomas aus Offenbach/M. (03/2025)
