Kilkerran is produced at the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, a historic site founded in 1872 and revived in 2004. The brand represents traditional, handcrafted whisky with a clear Campbeltown character: lightly maritime, subtly smoky and full of depth. The annual 8 year old batches have gained cult status for showcasing the distillery’s style in its purest form.
Kilkerran 8 Years Bourbon Cask Batch 11 is a limited release that expresses the essence of traditional Campbeltown whisky with remarkable purity and strength. Matured exclusively in selected ex-bourbon casks and bottled at a robust cask strength of 55.6% ABV, this whisky offers impressive depth and intensity.
The nose delivers sweet vanilla, citrus brightness, malt notes and a touch of sea salt, accompanied by gentle smoke. On the palate, the whisky is rich and oily, revealing flavours of light fruits, vanilla cream, honey, spicy oak and subtle maritime hints balanced by soft, dry peat.
The finish is long, structured and warming, with lingering oak, citrus and a faint trail of smoke. A true Kilkerran – bold, honest and authentically Campbeltown.
