Peat's Beast PX Sherry Cask is an intense single malt Scotch whisky for fans of powerful peat smoke. Bottled at 54.1% vol. in cask strength, this expression combines bold smoke with the sweet, dark fruit character of a Pedro Ximénez sherry finish.
On the nose, dense peat smoke, maritime notes, seaweed and damp forest floor meet syrup, toasted almonds and caramelised sugar. On the palate, the whisky is powerful, smoky and sweet with dates, figs, dark berries, vanilla and a fine hint of clove.
The finish is long, intense and shaped by smoke, dark chocolate, caramel, sweet rum raisin and lasting sherry spice. Peat's Beast PX Sherry Cask is best enjoyed neat, with a few drops of water or as a smoky whisky for experienced drinkers.
