" The GlenDronach Distillery is based in Forgue near Huntly in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, producing the best single malts with rich sherry for almost 200 years Excellent whiskey in the best Spanish sherry barrels Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso from Andalusia. They are very well known for their rich taste profile, which ranges from sweet and fruity aromas to the Pedro Ximenez barrels selected by us to dry and nutty notes from excellent Oloroso Barrels.

GlenDronach House Editions Venetian Room is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Scottish Highlands. This Travel Edition is inspired by Venice and combines the sherry led style of GlenDronach Distillery with Amarone red wine casks, dark fruit and fine dessert notes.

Maturation takes place in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, Oloroso sherry casks and Italian Amarone red wine casks. This cask combination creates depth, fruity sweetness, chocolate notes and a warm, nutty aroma profile.

On the nose, it shows dark cherries, tiramisu, blackcurrants, dates, cocoa, amaretti and a touch of vanilla spice. On the palate, honeyed red plum, almond liqueur, maraschino cherry, chocolate covered hazelnut and Black Forest gateau unfold.

The finish is long and rich, with forest fruits, hazelnut cream and macchiato al caramel. At 46% vol., GlenDronach Venetian Room is especially well suited for sipping neat in a nosing glass or with a few drops of water.
