Wemyss Glentauchers 2007 A Midsummer Meadow is a limited single cask single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside. This bottling comes from the Wemyss Malts Single Cask Collection and was bottled at a powerful 62.6% vol. cask strength.
The whisky was distilled in 2007 and matured for 14 years in a hogshead cask. Only 267 bottles were drawn from this single cask. The name A Midsummer Meadow refers to its summery fruit character, reminiscent of countryside walks, wild fruit and orchard blossom.
On the nose, it shows summer berry compote, sweet toffee, vanilla, Galia melon, white grapes and freshly picked apricots. On the palate, the whisky is creamy and fruity with coconut, almonds, a touch of cereal and clear sweetness.
The finish is dry, gripping and long. Wemyss Glentauchers 2007 A Midsummer Meadow is especially suited for drinkers looking for rare Speyside single cask releases at cask strength.
