Wild Turkey is an American Kentucky Straight Bourbon produced in the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Wild Turkey 101 Proof is a bold Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey with 50.5% vol. This bottling is one of the best known bourbons from Kentucky and combines rich sweetness, spicy depth and distinctive oak notes.
The bourbon matures in new charred American white oak barrels. Bottled at 101 proof, it keeps its flavour clearly present in cocktails while also offering enough strength for sipping neat.
On the nose, it shows vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, fine spice and oak. On the palate, Wild Turkey 101 is full bodied, powerful and lightly spicy with toffee, dark fruit, anise, toasted oak and pleasant bourbon sweetness.
The finish is long, warm and spicy with caramel, wood and fine rye spice. Wild Turkey 101 is well suited for drinking neat, over ice or as a strong base for Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour and other bourbon cocktails.
