The story of one of Australia’s oldest wineries begins in 1843 in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, when Dr. Henry Lindeman planted the first vines on his estate in Cawarra. As early as 1858, wines from Cawarra began their long journey to Europe. Today, Lindeman’s wines are appreciated worldwide for their high quality, evidenced by numerous national and international awards each year. For 170 years, Lindemans has been cultivating and producing wine in Australia’s southern states, known for consistency and quality—from the selection of the best parcels to an outstanding price/enjoyment ratio.
Product description:
Founded in 1843 by Dr. Henry Lindeman in the Hunter Valley in southeastern Australia, this winery has created a Chardonnay from Down Under that is cherished by wine lovers around the world. The Chardonnay, aged in French oak, was first launched in 1985. Today, the Bin 65 Chardonnay is vinified by Wayne Falkenberg. Thanks to his expertise – and the reliable Australian climate – the wine is consistently high in quality and characterized by an approachable, fruit-forward style. Compared to European Chardonnays, Lindeman’s Bin 65 Chardonnay emphasizes fruity drinking pleasure over minerality. Fine, spicy, very complex, typical, yet with a soft woody note.
